This week's buzz.....

Homework

Homework sits on top of Sunday, squashing Sunday flat.

Homework has the smell of Monday, homework's very fat.

Heavy books and piles of paper, answers I don't know.

Sunday evening's almost finished, now I'm going to go

Do my homework in the kitchen.  Maybe just a snack,

Then I'll sit right down and start as soon as I run back

For some chocolate sandwich cookies.  Then I'll really do

All that homework in a minute.  First I'll see what new

Show they've got on television in the living room.

Everybody's laughing there, but misery and gloom

And a refrigerator are where I am at.

I'll just have another sandwich.  Homework's very fat.

We have begun our poetry journey!  The students are filling their minds and their writing journals with all varieties of poetry.  Encourage their poetic imaginations every chance you are able.  Some of the poems they have come up with are terrific! 

THE CRCT'S ARE OVER!!  YAHOO!!  Your children worked so hard on these tests each day.  Please be sure to congratulate them on a job well done!!  Each child deserves a pat on the back!

Just a reminder that next Wednesday, May 7th is Field Day.  Should it be rained out, then it will be scheduled for the following day, May 8th. 

Students should begin returning reading materials to the Media Center before next Friday, May 9th.  This is the final date that all materials are due.

Don't forget that if you can help with your gardening talents, this Saturday, May 3 is Campus Clean-up Day from 9am-12:00 noon.  You may bring rakes, gloves, shovels, etc. in order to help beautify our campus.  Thank you for considering to help!
