Busy Bee Buzz

It has been a pleasure meeting with everyone this week to disuss your childrens progress. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or concerns you might have.

The Bees had a great time celebrating the 100th day of school. We had fun travelling from class to class doing many great activities. I think they enjoyed counting out their 100 snacks the most!!

Next Friday is Art Day. It is always a wonderful day where the children are exposed to various visual and performing art forms. The first grade is being asked to wear black t-shirts on that day.Please send them in by Wednesday so we will be ready on Friday. An Art Fair will be held in the evening. All of our Sope Creek children will have their work on display. Please come by and take a peek at all of our budding artists.

Reminder

The Scholastic Book Fair begins next Tuesday in the Media Center. Stop by either before or after conferences. The Bees already had a chance to see some of the books on our way through the Library.

Penny Wars- Tomorrow is the last day we can bring in money for Penny Wars. This is a wonderful way the students at Sopecreek have been raising money for the American Cancer Society. They have been very excited each morning about filling up our jug with pennies and sabotaging the other classes.

Conferences- Thank you so much for getting the conference forms back so quickly. I am looking forward to talking with you about your child next week. The conferences are back to back so please try to arrive on time. Remember every day next week is early dismissal at 12:30.

Science- If you have not sent in your permission slip for our next in school "fiekd Trip", please do so right away. This is anoter terrific progrmm from High Touch/High Tech. We had this program last year and the children really enjoyed learning all about sound.
