Busy Bee Buzz

It is hard to believe it is Thanksgiving already. On Monday the 19th the children will enjoy a Thanksgiving Feast in the cafeteria. We will all get dressed up for the occasion. We will have a delicious lunch, eat by candlelight, and listen to music. This is for the children only!

Reminder

Please make sure when you visit the school you check in at the office first and get a visitor pass. This is done for security reasons.

There is no school from November 21st-25th for the holiday. I want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday!! I know we all have a lot to be thankful for.

Busy Bee Update

I hope everyone had a relaxing 4 days. The teachers had some very informative meetings.Thank you to the P.T.A. for the refresher course in CPR.

We are very lucky this week to have two wonderful  experiences. Today Reptile man was here. He is quite an amazing naturalist. The children loved seeing all of the reptiles he brought to school. Tomorrow is our first is our first in-school "field trip" about the weather. It is a hands on experience with many exciting experiments.

From The Foundation Turkey

Thanks to each and every family for your of support of the Sope Creek Foundation.  As parents, we all count ourselves fortunate to be part of the Sope Creek community and are grateful for the wonderful educational benefits Sope Creek provides our children.
The Foundation is excited about the possibility of adding innovative learning to each and every classroom this year with SmartBoards.  The cost of putting the boards in every class is $100,000 - our goal.  However to make this a reality for every Sope Creek student, we need 100% participation from every Sope Creek family.  No gift is too small.
The boards will be installed in the grades with the highest participation.  Currently, 1st grade has only 16% participation.  For those who have already given, we thank you!
Won't YOU consider a tax deductible contribution to the SmartKids Campaign?
