Busy Bee Buzz

Current events:

I am so proud of all the Bees. They did a terrific job on our first Current Events Day!!! We heard everything from the Sports News to Global Warming to the biggest candy bar ever made. We are all looking forward to next weeks News. Keep up the good work!

Reminders:

When it is your child's "Week To Shine", they also are the "Scientist of the Week". Please bring in a copy of the experiment so I can give it to all the children. They love to try the experiments at home.

Please make sure your child brings back the Book Treasure container to school. I dont have very many extras. Thank You.

October 4th- Picture Day Make-ups

Busy Bee Buzz

  The Bees were very excited to have Carson's mom come in for our first science experiment. I will send home a copy so everyone can try it. Next week Cool_bee  will be Kayla's turn.

October 4th -Retake pictures -----   I know some people have not received pictures yet. If you have not received them by that date,I will send your child down to have it taken again.

We are desperately in need of band-aids. If you can help us out it would be appreciated.There always seems to be some little scratch that needs covering. Thank you.

Calling all bakers!

If anyones enjoys baking please let me know. At the end of our weather unit, we are all going to enjoy Thunder Cake. I have the recipe from a book we are going to read. I will send it home to whom ever volunteers.

Sept. 26th-28th--- Cognitive Abilities Test - Please make sure your child gets a good nights rest and eats a good breakfast!!!!  Children will not be allowed to enter our room once testing has begun, so make sure you come to school on time. First grade tests in the morning. I know everyone will do a great job.

        Have a great weekend.   It looks like  summer is back even if the first day of Fall is Sunday.

Busy Bee Buzz

Weather

Please have your child start gathering pictures illustrating different types of precipitation (ex.rain-sleet-snow -hail) for our weather unit. They can use magazines, newspapers, or the computer. Please have all pictures in by Sept. 26th.  Happy hunting! We also need 2 liter clear empty and clean plastic soda bottles for our rain gauges. Thank You!

Math- We will start our new unit in Math at the end of next week. There will be no Math homework while we are assessing their progress.

The Bees are looking forward to another Book Treasure next week. I hope everyone is enjoying hearing about some of our favorite books.
