WHAT'S HAPPENING IN MUSIC WITH MRS. TOWLE?

Blind_musician The week of February 11th - 15th is "Abilities Awareness Week".  In Mrs. Towle's class students are learning about famous musicians who have overcome obstacles to achieve outstanding success in music.  Students are listening to the inspiring music of Ludwig Van Beethoven (deaf); Ray Charles (blind); Mel Tillis (speech challenged); and Itzhak Perlman (physically challenged).  Students are learning that obstacles can be overcome by having CREATIVE thinking, a positive ATTITUDE, PERSISTENCE and SUPPORT (CAPS).

The Essential Question for this unit of study is "How do we overcome obstacles?"
