Have you ever wondered how much professional sports players get paid? Did you know that a NBA player gets paid more than a NFL player? Also, Major League Baseball players get paid more than professional hockey players. In 2009 the average salary of a lacrosse player was only $16,250.73 per season. An average NFL player’s salary in 2009 was $1.9 million dollars. In the same year, an average NBA player got paid $3.4 million per season. That’s a lot of money! When Major League Baseball was formed in 1876 their salary per season was $3,054 and in May 2010 it was $3.3 million per season. Lastly NHL players had an average salary of $2.4 million in the 2009-2010 season. In conclusion, professional basketball players get paid the most and slightly more than professional baseball players, and a whole lot more than professional lacrosse players!
