If you have a second grade student at home, ask to see their Library map-- complete with grid coordinates and color coded map key! On the back is a step-by-step guide to locating a book in our Library, a review of the procedures and skills taught in this lesson. These skills help children locate books for information and pleasure reading, reinforce map skills, practice using numbers in a practical scenario, and use technology to acomplish a learning goal-- all Georgia Performance Standards for second graders.
