Mrs. S is one of several Cobb County Librarians working together to present two sessions at the upcoming COMO Conference in Athens, GA. The first session is about using free web tools to promote the Library Media Center, and Sope Creek's Librarian will be explaining the benefits of the web 2.0 tool Voicethread. This is a site that allows you to post pictures along with narration and provides a drawing tool to pinpoint elements of the pictures, or emphasize your narration. Mrs. S has used this tool with several classes to develop short videos on how to shelve books, or the elements of particular genres. The second session is about how to start a Book Cart Drill Team. Cobb County's Book Cart Drill Team, Cart Blanche, will be competing in the State level Drill Team competition.
