Summer Reading @ the Creek!

We hope that everyone can enjoy a few good books this summer, whether you're at the beach, at the pool, in another country, or even at home in bed under a blanket!

Goals and requirements for students entering the following grades:

Kindergarten: participate in the reading program at one of the local public libraries

1st grade: read at least six (6) books with or to their parents/guardians.

2nd grade: read at least seven (7) grade level appropriate books.

3rd grade: read three (3) grade level appropriate books and complete a project for each book (project listing will be sent from the 3rd grade teachers).

4th grade: Maintain a reading log of a minimum of 400 minutes.

5th grade: The base goal for students is reading 800 minutes but the stretch goal for recognition by the PTA is a reading log listing of 1200 minutes

All reading logs are due in to teachers no later than August 29th, 2011.
