The School Council by-laws require that the majority of the members are parents. The composition of the Council must be comprised of two parents, two teachers, two business/parent partners, and one school administrator. Additionally, the Sope Creek School Council has two additional parents who represent the PTA and Foundation.
At this time, the School Council is in need of one parent representative. Representatives serve on the Council for two school years. The Council meets a minimum of four times each year. The next meeting is scheduled for December 16, 2011 at 7:30 a.m.
If you are interested in serving on the School Council you may nominate yourself or you may nominate someone else. Kathleen Wilson, the PTA Liason, will be accepting nominations through November 11. Her email is kgcwilson@comcast.net.
