Book Babbles

Books_2                  The M&Ms are doing Book Babbles! There are three parts: a written summary and reflection, a creative project, and an oral "babble" to the class. The two main objectives of this assignment are to support their book clubs and RARE reading by thinking about what they're reading and to encourage the love of reading by learning about a lot of great books. Part of their oral presentation will be giving recommendations to their friends. They were given the assignment and rubric last week. Ask them about it. They have signed up to present their first Book Babble sometime during this first 9 weeks. They will give one during each 9 week grading period.

Goal Setting

Friday Folders included your child's Goal Setting sheet for the first 9 weeks. Please spend some time with your child to determine his/her goals - make them as specific as possible so they will know what they are striving for and if they achieved their goal. Turn them back into me as soon as you can; I will make a copy and send it back in this week's Friday Folder. The kids can post them on their refrigerator, mirror, or in their room as a reminder of what they are working toward.

Picture Day

Photographer Just a reminder of Picture Day on Wednesday. Send your kids to school with their "pretty as a picture" smiles.

Group Email Address

The M&Ms have our group email address up and running. If you have not received an email from me, please contact me with your correct email address so I can make sure you're added. You will receive information from me regularly through the year so you'll want to make sure you're included on this group address.
