PTA is the largest child-advocacy group in the country. Joining is a great way to invest in your child’s future. PTA parents and volunteers make the difference between a good school and a great one like Sope Creek!
We have many different committees, and welcome your help and imput! Any amount of time you can volunteer will make a difference in your child's education!

Effective parent involvement programs include activities that are addressed by the following six standards:
I. Communicating—Communication between home and school is regular, two-way, and meaningful.
II. Parenting—Parenting skills are promoted and supported.
III. Student learning—Parents play an integral role in assisting student learning.
IV. Volunteering—Parents are welcome in the school, and their support and assistance are sought.
V. School decision making and advocacy—Parents are full partners in the decisions that affect children and families.
VI. Collaborating with community—Community resources are used to strengthen schools, families, and student learning.

SECURE adequate laws for the care and protection of
children and youth.
RAISE the standards of home life.
BRING into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the
education of children and youth.
DEVELOP between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual development.
