Monday, November 19th is Sope Creek's Thanksgiving Feast. Students will have a "candle lit feast" at their regular scheduled lunch time. Please have students dress in their "sunday best" on Monday. This special day is for all of us to remember how thankful we are to have such a wonderful school. We are thankful to the staff at sope creek, the students who make it special, and the parents that put in countless hours to make our school so great! We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season!
The Publix store in the Delk Spectrum Shopping Center is hosting a Holiday Fest on Tuesday, November 13 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The chorus will perform at 6:00 and teachers will host the event and serve food samples.
I will be there from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Please come if you can,
~Mrs. Nagle
The Health and Nutrition Committee recently conducted a survey to find out what improvements parents wished could be made to the current Sope Creek lunch menu.
Through meetings involving Martha Whalen, the Health and Nutrition Committee and Cobb County Nutrition Services, we have been granted some healthy changes to our menu on a “trial basis”!
From November 26th until December 21st, the following changes will be in effect:
Please make every effort to encourage your students to purchase and consume the new healthier lunch items being offered during this period of time. You have a great deal of influence and the kids look to you for guidance.
**Milk consumption is the County’s #1 concern. If milk sales drop off during the “trial period” we will NOT be allowed to keep the healthy changes.
It is up to us now to prove to the County that we feel our students deserve the healthiest start in life which can be offered.
Thank you so much for your support!
