January Response To Literature; McCall Crabbs Standardized Test Lessons in Reading. Students should be completing 1 passage per night for homework. They turn their folder in every Friday. These passages are designed to increase comprehension skills and develop inference skills therefore; students will develop the ability to re-read for clarification and concentrate on skimming the passage with attention given to locating the information from the beginning, middle or end. This practice will benefit them greatly when taking the CRCT.
GA Habitat Research Project; This project will be completed in school. It consist of a 10 page report. Students will be instructed to produce a power point this week and be able to use information from this project to help with their Informative Writing.
Informative Writing; All students have been assigned an animal and given guidelines for this piece of writing. Informative Animal Writing will be due on Feb.6. All students will present their writing with a choice of power point, poster, or other creative visual.
