It's hard to believe that this year has almost come to an end - it seems like just last week the kids were coming into the classroom for the first time!  Here is some important info for next week...we are making each day special!

Early release at 12:20.

 

 

Thursday, 5/24

Movie Day!  We will end our study of ocean animals by watching "Finding Nemo".

Specials: PE for both groups

Early Release...please remember no backpacks or lunch boxes on the last day of school.  If your child brings a lunch it needs to be in a disposable container or bag.

Supply Lists for 2012-2013

This year there is an important change to the supply pre-order process.   Parents may order school supply packs directly from the supplier, Educational Products Incorporated (“EPI”), and all pre-ordered supplies will be delivered to students’ homes the week before school starts. The supply packs will contain items requested by teachers and will offer bulk pricing.

Rising fifth graders, however, will NOT have the option to purchase a pre-packaged supply pack from EPI.  Rising fifth graders will receive a copy of their school supply list with their final 2011-12 report card at the beginning of the summer.

Field Day!

  Field Day is tomorrow!     

1. Our relays will be in the morning from 8:30 - 9:30.  Please feel free to join us on the field behind school to cheer on our class!

The Carnival will be in the afternoon from 12:40 - 1:50 in the bus lane lot.

 

Here are a few reminders:

 * Wear your class t-shirt.

  * Wear socks and tennis shoes.

  *  Put on sunscreen before you come to school.

Yearbooks For Sale!!!

Parents, Yearbooks were sent home today to the students who purchased them. There are still more available if you would like to purchase one. Just send a check or cash for $35 (checks made payable to Sope Creek).

Book Fair and Summer Reading

Are you ready for summer?  Have you chosen great titles to read while you are on vacation?  Need help with this?  Check out Sope Creek's BOOK FAIR LUAU!  The VIRTUAL FAIR begins May 1st.  Click here to shop and the books will be shipped anywhere you wish!  Even grandparents living in different states can participate in our book fair!!!!

You can purchase books in our school media center from May 7th - 14th.  Stop by, see Ms. Robinson for awesome recommendations, and get ready to READ FOR THE RECORD!

This summer, Sope Creek students will READ FOR THE WORLD RECORD!  By recording minutes read, we are going to work together and see if we can be one of the top 20 schools in the world - in number of minutes read over the summer!  You can read ANYTHING: books, magazines, newspapers, comics, stories online, ANYTHING!  It's easy to log your time...from now until August 31st, log into the Scholastic Website using the username/password given to you by Ms. Robinson.  Help us get our name published in the Scholastic Book of World Records!  Read, read, read!
