Many of you will be traveling to family and friends for the Thanksgiving Holidays...many of you will
be staying home to celebrate. No matter where you are or who you are sharing Thanksgiving with, I hope you all have a marvelous holiday. We really do have so much to be thankful for!
Check out this link to the Native American Festival at Stone Mountain! We are studying Native Americans next week and it would be such a great experience to be able to go this weekend and see everything firsthand! http://www.stonemountainpark.com/mini-section/default.aspx?id=41

REMINDER: If there are transportation changes, please write them on a full sheet of paper if
possible...sometimes those little notes get "lost" in backpacks or slip out of the folder. We've found all of them so far, but had some close calls:-)
Do you have lots of left-over candy from trick-or-treating that you don't want your kids to devour? Send it in next Friday, November 9th for Candy for Kids With Cancer Drive. Student Council will be collecting candy for kids with cancer - please help!
Remember...your turkey feather project is due
back at school on Friday, November 2. I can't wait to see all the creative ideas that the Leopards came up with!

Remember to set your clocks ahead this
weekend to "Fall back!"
This is also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detector...we had a wonderful visit from a Cobb County Firefighter who educated us on "stop, drop and roll, "fall, crawl to a wall," and the importance of having a family meeting place outside if there is a fire in your home. Where is your meeting place, and do your children know what to do???
