instead of Lively Happening Sheet
Parents,
There will be no Lively Happenings Sheet this week. I just want to wish everyone a very relaxing and fun-filled week off. I know some of you will be leaving for a vacation, while others will be enjoying friends and family at home. Your children, as well as I, need to take this break to prepare for an exciting end of the year. The week after we return will be our testing time, beginning on Wednesday, April 23. I feel that all of the Learning Lions will do great. Please just make sure that your child eats a good breakfast and has a good evening rest prior to each day of testing. Hopefully, if ball practices occur on Wednesday, or Thursday they will be completed early enough so that the children can be in bed by 8:00.
There will be no spelling for our first two weeks back after the break. We will have spelling bees and review words and phonics that we have studied this year. In math, we will complete the division unit and review 3-digit addition and subtraction and also work with making change. In science and in reading we will be working with butterflies. We will read about them and watch them become butterflies in our butterfly house. On the Monday that we return, we will go to Art as our special.
I am looking forward to a quiet time of rest and reading at the lake. I hope you all enjoy the wonderful family time you will have.
Carole
