Instead of Lively Happenings

       What a wonderful job your children did with our play on Thursday! Thank you for always having them so prepared each day. There will be no Lively Happenings Newsletter for next week due to the short week.  Check back over the holiday for information about the week following Thanksgiving.

       Monday and Tuesday we will continue to study the first colonists that came to America.  We are keying in on the settlements of Plymouth and Jamestown.  We will continue to talk about Jamestown after the Thanksgiving holiday also.  In math we are working with subtraction and regrouping.  Please help your child with this concept. We will read more trickster tales during the two days.

2nd Grade Parents,

Thanks to each and every family for your of support of the Sope Creek Foundation.  As parents, we count ourselves fortunate to be part of the Sope Creek community and are grateful for the wonderful educational benefits Sope Creek provides our children.

The Foundation is excited about the possibility of adding innovative learning to each and every classroom this year with SmartBoards.  Our goal is to raise $100,000.  However, to make this a reality for every Sope Creek student, we need 100% participation from every Sope Creek family.  No gift is too small.

The boards will be installed in the grades with the highest participation.  Currently, 2nd grade has only 18% participation.  For those who have already given, we thank you!
