Some children are eating their Friday ice cream treat instead of their lunch. We will not be buying ice cream for the remainder of the year.

Zoo Atlanta

Zoo_003 Zebra_in_zoo_md_wht The Jellybeans had a great time at the zoo on Wednesday.  We saw many different kinds of animals.  Everyone had a different favorite.  The baby gorillas were really cute.  The weather was beautiful.  Everyone had fun.  Thank you to All's Mom and Jackson E and W's Mom for snacks.  Samantha and Anna's Mom were great to go and help tour the zoo.

Zoo Field Trip

The zoo field trip is coming soon.  Please send in your permission slip by Monday, April 14th if you haven't done so already.  Please remember to dress according to the weather the day of the field trip which is Wednesday, April 16th.  It is an all day event...so don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and your jellybean shirt.  If you are bringing a lunch, make sure it is in a bag that we can throw away and that your name is on the bag.  Don't forget your drink.  Let's hope it doesn't rain:)

DIG IT

Rock_day_2008_001 We learned so much from our geologist Scientist Lisa, from Hi Tech Hi Touch.  She showed us an example of the Earth that opened to show us the different layers of the Earth.  She explained to us how rocks are formed in different ways.  Every Jellybean had a chance to sift and sort many different types of rocks.  It was an interesting experience to learn about minerals that make up rocks.  Scientist Lisa said that if it is not man made and non living is must be a rock.
