It is hard to believe but the 100th day of school is on Friday! On Friday, we will have a fun 100th Day Rotations through different classes doing lots of things that have to do with 100! Each child will also put together a 100 day snack... please bring in your item tomorrow. Thank you in advance... this is always a favorite activity on this day.
Thursday is always Library Day... please make sure your child has their library books at school on this day so that they can get new books. The students were also shown a great way to search and think about what books they would like on Destiny... our library search. On this site, they read about what they are about, find the reading levels of books they are interested in, and hold books so that they can check them out the next time they are in the library. Ask your child to show you how!
Six Flags Reading to Succeed was sent home yesterday. This is a great way to earn a FREE Six Flags ticket! Keep recording your books and minutes read on the sheet. Once your child reaches 360 minutes sign and bring it back in to me. (You can use the books for homework on this sheet too! Record the books and minutes on both!) This is a great program and the kids enjoy getting a FREE ticket! Reading log sheets are due to me on Feb. 28th.
