TOMORROW is the BOOSTERTHON! There has been lots of excitement around the Creek for the past week and half for our AWESOME fundraiser! Students have gotten many pledges for our school... and some of that money comes back directly to our classroom! Thank you for ALL YOUR HELP!
Please join us tomorrow, September 1st, around the track to watch your child RUN LAPS for the Boosterthon... 8:15-9:30 am. Come and join the FUN! (Each child will get their own Boosterthon t-shirt!)

Thank you for bringing in school supplies for our 1st Grade Community Service Project. We are gathering supplies to donate to our sister school in need!
We are busy in the classroom getting into our "normal routine." We have started guided reading groups... and I LOVE hearing them read and they are so excited to show me how well they can! Literacy Centers are going well and the students are really doing a great job knowing what to do and working quietly during center time. In math we are working with addition and the symbols and vocabulary that go along with it. In science we have begun our weather unit and learning about how weather changes in each season. In Writing Workshop we are learning about who are writers, why writers write and the rules that we need to follow when we are writing in the classroom. We are working on writing in complete sentences using a capital and a period at the end.
