There was a lot of excitement this week with the 100th day of school and Groundhog's Day! The 100th day rotations were a lot of fun and the children were engaged in many activities all having to do with 100. On Groundhog's Day we learned all about how it started and saw pictures of famous Phil! We also learned about shadows and made our own!
The children are busily researching a national park in their learning clubs. We will be illustrating them for our Immersion Wall next week. They are fascinated with the differences and beautiful landscapes of the many parks in the United States. We can't wait to start getting our Flat Teddies back to see where they traveled! (If you haven't sent him yet.. please do!) In math, we are learning and working with tables and charts. Today we graphed teddy grahams!
Adopt a Bear-- We were able to collect enough change to adopt a bear for each first grade classroom! We will get a picture and certificate, as well as be able to watch our bear on a webcam! Thank you for your support!
