The children had a great time this morning. The PTA provided us with a fascinating, first hand, experience with reptiles. "The reptile man" brought his boxes of a crocodile, alligator, snapping turtle, and snakes in every color and size. You have never seen so many children sit completely mesmerized. Jan Hollis will be in the Sope Creek cafeteria Oct. 22 at 9:30 to discuss the new kindergarten report card.
Sope Creek's Octoberfest is Saturday, Oct. 6. Thank you to Erin O'Dea's mom for creating our class pumpkin. You will want to have a look at it before they are auctioned off. It is adorable. Many of you have sent in money to purchase arm bands. We will send those home in the Friday folders.
Picture retakes will be Oct. 4 . If you want your child's picture retaken you must return the original packet of pictures. Thanks.
Everyone on staff has been wonderful about helping me get set up. My BLOG and email are working now. My voice mail has not been resolved. I will continue sending my newsletter home in the Friday Folders, eventually they will be on my BLOG too.

I would appreciate it if you would continue to send transportation changes in writing. Please do not email last minute transportation changes, I don't want to chance missing them.
Thank you to Tracy Pickens for all her hard work organizing the t-shirt orders for Sope Creek. Our glowworm shirts arrived today and they are cute as a button. Please check your child's backpack on Wednesday. I know everyone is excited to have them for Friday spirit wear and the East Cobber Parade on Saturday Sep. 15.
