It was wonderful to see all of you at conferences. I love bragging on these Grizzly Bears. They truly our a wonderful group of children. I am blessed to be a part of their lives. Thank you so much.
Seeing that Monday is Halloween and many families will be caught up in the fun of "Begging". (That's what they called it where I grew up.) I have decided to give no homework. Yeah!! Of course there is always IXL and Reading.
This week we will continue to practice multiplication strategies. You may want to work on memorizing multiplication facts.
In Language Arts we will be reading about George Washington Carver. We will be looking at how text features and accessing our previous knowledge help us comprehend new information. We will be writing Book Blurbs as part of our "Response to Literature" component of our writing program.
In Social Studies we will begin our study of historical figures with a look at Susan B. Anthony.

Also, I realized we never had theGame Day we earned from Boosterthon. So, we will do this on Friday. Your Grizzly is welcome to bring a game from home. We will also play curriculum related games.
