Feeder Schools

Sope Creek's Feeder Patterns

Sope Creek students live in two different "clusters" or feeder patterns.  Some students live in the Wheeler Cluster and others live in the Walton Cluster.

Students who live in the Wheeler Cluster attend East Cobb Middle School and Wheeler High School when they leave Sope Creek.

Students who live in the Walton Cluster attend Dickerson Middle School and Walton High School when they leave Sope Creek.

If you have questions about which feeder pattern you live in, you can use the School Bus Locator.  Type in your address and change the grade level to 6 if you want to check on your middle school or 9 if you want to check your high school.  Both clusters have active PTA's, schools with innovative programs, and excellent athletics programs.

The purpose of this space on Sope Creek's blog is to keep the community informed about events and opportunities in both clusters.  You can find links to each school in the sidebar. Check back often.

Belmont Hills Golf Outing - March 28th - Send a Student to Tybee!

Belmont Hills Elementary is hosting its second annual Golf Outing Fundraiser on March 28th @ Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw @ 1:00.  Proceeds will allow students to attend an academic study trip to Tybee Island.  Are you interested in helping out?  See the following forms:

Walton Band Garage Sale March 19th

19^th Annual Walton Band Garage Sale 250+ families

Metal/Electronics Recycling Day during the Garage Sale in Lot D

Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Taste of East Cobb 2011

The 6th Annual Taste of East Cobb, a premier outdoor food festival and community event for tasters of all ages! Saturday May 7th, the Most Delicious Saturday of the Year! Merchants Walk Shopping Center, 11:00am - 5:00pm, rain or shine. Great food from great area restaurants. Live Music provided throughout the day. Also featuring a Silent Auction; "The Best of Taste of East Cobb" contest; a Kids Zone with Giant Inflatables, Face Painting and other family fun; Beverage & Dessert booths; Arts & Crafts; and much more! Walton Band Garage Sale - Donations Wanted!

The Walton Band is accepting donations (items in good condition - working or wearable) for the Walton Band Garage Sale.  What is needed?

• Furntute and Small Appliances
• Books/DVD's/CD's
• Household Items
• Sports Equipment
• Toys & Clothing

Small pieces (Legos, puzzles, toys) should be bagged together. 

Hangers, boxes, and plastic/paper bags are appreciated.  Donations may be tax deductible!

Drop-off Location: Johnson Square Office Park
                       1501 Johnson Ferry Road
                            Left behind Target @ Sunrise Assisted Living
                            First Left to Bldg. 1501
                            Left in parking lot to back of building.
                            First door downstairs on side of building.

ECMS INstrument Try Out Day: April 17th

East Cobb Middle School rising 6th graders instrument try out day is Saturday April 17th at East Cobb Middle School from 10am to 1pm.   This is a day for the students to come and try different instruments to see which best suits them. The band personnel use a few different ways to determine what instrument best works for the student.  Please come and toot your horn! Or blast your sax… bang your drum… blow your oboe…
