Fireflies and families,

I won't be at school tomorrow. (Friday)  Please get and stay focused.

MATH TEST- Wednesday, Jan. 25th.  You'll have time to complete the study guide in class on Monday.  We'll also review before the test.

The fifth grade service project begins Jan. 23rd-27th. I'll further exlpain in class on Monday.

We'll begin the next Science unit-Electricity- next week. An informational parent letter is going to be sent home in Friday Folders. (There won't be Soc. St..)

TESTS

Update on tests

Soc. St. Summaries test -Friday (tomorrow)  We'll check the summaries before the test.; Standards Test on Tuesday, Dec. 20th

Lang. Arts Sentence/fragments test Friday, Dec. 16th

Math graphing test on Tuesday, Dec. 20th (including mean, median, mode, and range)

Science Matter test on Tuesday, Dec. 20th

Study, and then we'll have some fun on Wednesday and Thursday.  (Only 5 more school days.)

TESTS/S.S. project

Here is the schedule of tests and the S.S. project assignment (You'll get it tomorrow.)

Roaring 20s poster, due Tuesday, Dec 20th

MATH- dividing fractions TEST on Wed. Dec. 14th; graphing/line plots (mean, median, range, mode) TEST on Friday, Dec. 16th

Soc. St.- Roaring 20s, (lessons 1 and 2 only) Summaries TEST, Friday, Dec. 16th; Standards TEST (lessons 1 and 2 only), Tuesday, Dec. 20th

Science-  matter TEST (may be this Friday, Dec. 16th or early next week, depending how much material we cover)

LANG. ARTS. Sentence fragment TEST on Wed. DEc. 14th.

Only 8 more school days before break.  We can do it.

TESTS

Fireflies and families,

These are the tests and project due dates for the week of Dec. 5th-9th.  They are subject to change, depending how much material is covered.

MATH-TEST on multiplication of fractions (whole numbers X fractions; fractions X fractions) Friday, Dec. 9th

Science- TEST on States of Water, Wed., Dec. 7th.  PROJECT- States of Matter booklet, Thurs., Dec. 8th (You got the assignment on Monday, Nov. 28th)

Social Studies- Summaries TEST, WWI, (Ch. 9) Wed., Dec. 7th; Standards TEST, Friday, Dec. 9th

Please make sure you read this week's newsletter. There are a lot of TESTS scheduled for next week.  Believe it or not, it's already half way through this quarter.  That means you'll be getting your mid-quarter progress reports the Monday following the holiday break.  (I want to include the tests given on Friday.)

Please remember that Tuesday is election day, so that means the Fireflies have the day off.  The second payment for Jekyll is due soon.  Bring in auction items if you want to have an auction.  We'll plan on having it on Thursday, because Target is on Friday next week.  Enjoy the weekend.  Please see attached newsletter.
