On October 15th, Sope Creek Students will experience Election Immersion, a joint effort between the school and the PTA. Students will rotate through three stations:
Voting! Students will vote on the candidate that they would like to see win the Presidency. Before they vote, they will be required to fill out a Voter Registration Card. They will be able to see an actual voting booth, and will have an experience as close to an actual Election Day as possible.
Biographical Backgrounds: Students will experience quality literature and excerpts from biographies on both John McCain and Barack Obama.
Multimedia Presentations: The final presentation that students will attend is a multi-media presentation with age-appropriate and standards-based information.
Teachers will be provided with supplemental materials that they may use in their classroom and lessons that they may present using our SMARTBoard technology. We expect the day to be a great success!
