Please be aware that your child will be coming home with a field trip permission slip to Fernbank.  We would appreciate it if we could get these back as soon as possible.  Thanks!

As I mention in the newsletter the State Department of Education has released a CRCT study guide.  I have taken the liberty of downloading it and have it posted below.  It's long at 76 pages but I strongly recommend that you take a look at it - the guide has some pretty good suggestions regarding preparation and has some practice questions.

Have a great weekend!

It's the weekend already !?!?!?  The class thought yesterday was Tuesday!

Thank you to everyone for making Teacher Appreciation a wonderful week!  I greatly appreciate the gift cards I received.

Attached is the newsletter.  We will have a normal week next week.

I want to give many thanks to everyone for helping their child with their Valentine's cards.  The class had a great time exchanging the cards with each other today.  Thank you for helping make this a memorable experience!
I forgot to bring home a copy of the newsletter to post for this week (sorry!), but be aware that since it's a short week we are not going to have any spelling words or spelling homework.  We will instead continue working on our persuasive writing skills.

Have a wonderful four day weekend!

Smartboard

I know, it's been awhile since I've updated the blog - life's been getting in the way!

I want to thank the Foundation and all who contributed to the Smartkids campaign.  We got our smartboard installed on Saturday, and it is now up and running.  I feel like a kid with a new toy, and the kids love it!  We're very excited to start incorporating it into our daily lessons.

Thanks, and I'll see you all at our performance tonight!
