End of the Year: Last Week Activities

LifeguardFriday, May 16: Annual Fifth Grade Luau Party at Sibley Forest Pool 3:30-5:00. Every student will receive a Souveneir Class of 2008 monogrammed beach towel and dance the jig with the DJ! Students MUST go home first and then arrive at the pool. No student will  be allowed to walk from the school to the pool. Every student will receive a towel even if he/she doesnt attend the luau.

ReadingMonday, May 19: D.E.A.R. Day/Star Memories will be placed on the front of the school highlighting our favorite times at Sope Creek.

AutographTuesday, May 20: Autographing Party: Signing of yearbooks, Autograph Books, and panoramic photos will be done during recess.

Awards_2Wednesday: May 21: AWARDS DAY and GAME DAY: Every student in our class will be receiving a classroom award. Phone calls will be made for those students receiving special awards in the cafeteria. After Awards Day, we will be playing games on our SmartBoard. Thanks to Mrs. Puffer and Ms. Meadows for Deal or No Deal, Family Feud, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? DVD games for our classroom!

TicketsThursday, May 22: Movie Madness Day: Each Fifth grade class will be showing a movie with popcorn and soda and candy. Below are the movies that will be showing on which "screens":Aasen: Napolean Dynamite; Cronin: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; Doniphan: The Wild; Moore: Are We Done Yet?; Narramore: ; Nee: Enchanted; Rowlett: National Treasure; and Seymour: Spongebob, the Movie.

Cap_2 FRIDAY, MAY 23: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: WEAR ISLAND ATTIRE!! We will start our day at 9:00 with our Walk of Fame around the school (like Famous Americans) and will end up in the cafeteria to enjoy a wonderful breakfast around 9:30. Then we will partake in the Quiz Bowl in the library to review everything we have learned this year! Our lunch will be on the lawn with hamburgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, and hotdogs with Dairy Queen blizzards for desert! Our day will end with our annual Memories Video and one-on-one time with our classmates and teacher.
