No School on Monday for President's Day!!  I'll see all my Happy, Shining Dalmatian faces on Tues., Feb. 21st!  We had a good week at the creek. 

We will go to the Media Center on Wednesday, as usual. Please return books  by then. Some of the children have been using Destiny and it helps them get the books they want....yea! :)  

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day! The children had a great time with our Valentine math, making special cards for you all and passing out the Valentines. Thank you all for my Valentine's goodies. You are the best parents in the school!

In math we finished up fractions with cookie fractions today.  Next week, we will be working on telling time to the hour and half hour. We will continue time for the next 2 weeks. Don't forget to do your IXL homework. It helps in the classroom. 

The children are having a great time learning all about George Washington Carver. Ask them how many ways he found to use the peanut. We've received our first two Flat Teddies back. Rita and Maggie's came back.  They went to the Marietta park and Washington D.C. We enjoyed listening to what Teddy did on his trip.

In reading will continue to work on nonfiction reading for details and information. Also, we will begin exploring our Research project about animals that is coming up in writing.

A BIG thank you goes out to Rylan's mom for being our helper parent this week and bringing in the V-day treats.  Also, a thank goes out to Leila's dad fro being our story parent.  Next week, we will have nathan's mom as our helper parent and our story parent.  FYI, next week, the kids will have sack lunches on Tues., Wed. and Friday, so please do Not plan on eating with your child on those days because they will not be in the cafe.  Thank you and have a wonderful LONG weekend!!  I hope everyone gets well!! :)
