Happy Friday!! We had another Great week at the Creek!! I thought I'd include a picture of last week's 100th day for you to enjoy! Last night, I was so proud of the Dalmatian friends that could make it for the program. They all did such a nice job...even thought the risers were crowded and it was not very long of a program. They really did "shine"! Also, this week, we were able to go to the media center and lead the school in the pledge everyday during the morning announcements! They ALL had a turn and did a wonderful job!!
Today, we have A Lot of important forms and notes in your child's binder...be sure to read and let me know if you have any questions about them. We are enjoying our study of Theodore Roosevelt. Please mail off your "Flat Teddy" with the directions, so hopefully we can get some mail soon and see "Where in the World Flat Teddy will Go?" It is always a lot of fun for the class and we all enjoy getting mail! Since President Roosevelt was known for his National Parks and the Teddy bear was named after him, I told the kids we could do some Fun math activities with their very own teddy bears! So, plese let your kids know that Tues., Feb. 7th, will be bring your stuffed teddy bear to school day. If you don't have one, I have extras they can borrow or the day.
Also, next week, we will celebrate Valentines day, writing letters and being kind to others!! Please start making your v-day box by following the directions given and send in 17 (really just 16 cards, because your child doesn't have to give a card to themselves).
I wanted to Thank Leila's dad for being our helper parent last week, and Abby's mom for reading some great stories to us as our story parent! :) This week, we have Sofia's' mom as the helper parent, Maggie's mom as our story parent and Alex and Rylan's mom as our PVS subs on Thurs. for our training. Thank you all for your help!
Have a GREAT week!!
