Go Team!!! What another wonderful week at the Creek!! Thank you so much for sharing your precious children with me every day!! They are all learning so much and trying to do their personal best!! I am so very proud of them!!
Next week, Mrs. Keller, our student from KSU, will be teaching a unit on Nutrition throughout the curriculum. On Friday, we would like to have a little "celebration" for completing our unit. As we begin to study maps and globes, we would like to make the experience relevant to your child's life. So I am asking all of you to discuss what country your family came from and try to come up with a somewhat healthy food from that country that you would be willing to share with the class (i.e. China - eggrolls) for our snack time that day! :) Now we would not need the food item until Friday morning, but if it is something store bought, you are more than welcome to send it in sooner. We have 16 students in the classroom and no allerigies, that I know if. If for some reason, you recently found out that your child is allergic or should not be eating something, please let me know ASAP. The food does not have to be anything elaborate..it could just be from America - Peaches...and only send in 2 or 3 and each child would just get a taste of your food. It should be a lot of FUN!!
I want to thank Jack's mom for coming in to be our story parent this week! The kids Loved your stories! Next week, we have Maggie's mom coming in to be our Helper parent on Tues. and Sofia's mom coming in to read on Thurs. Don't forget Library day is on Wed. Bring back those books and READ, READ, READ!!! Also, Tues, Nov. 15th is the Thanksgiving feast from the cafe for just the kids. If your child wants to "dress-up" for our lunch on that day, they can, but the cafe does ask that parents please plan Not eat with your child that day. Thank you for your support and please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help. Enjoy your weekend!!
