Keep up the great participation on IXL. They're doing a great job. The students are doing well with the spelling lists and everyone had their homework in on time Friday morning. Go Dalmatians!
Math- We started chapter 5 this week...it is a continuation on subtraction, using various strategies to solve subt. problems. If your child is struggling in the area, please work with them at home. We played our first game of Subtraction "Around the World" and they did a great job with this! Practice those subtraction facts 0-10 in order to do well on this.
We'll be learning how to take the COGAT at a practice session on Friday morning. The test is next week(Wednesday-Friday) and you can help by having your child get a good night's rest, eat a breakfast with some protein(and a Drink), and have a stress-free morning during the 3 days of testing. That is how you can help your child do his personal best.
Social Studies- We're having a great time learning all about our first American hero, Ben Franklin. Please ask your children to tell you some of his inventions or some of his contributions that he made to our country.
Thank You - Goes to Rylan's mom for coming in as my Helper parent this week...she really did a lot to help me out and the class! Also, our student from Kennesaw, Miss Keller, put everything together for us to make a Ben Franklin project for next week! Thank you goes out to Nathan's mom for coming in as our story parent this week! I appreciate all that you all do for us!!
