Camp MAGIK provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can express their grief over the death of a loved one and begin the healing process. There are two upcoming, free of charge, camp experiences planned. Campers will receive counseling and also participate in typical camp activites including hiking, canoeing, ropes courses, and more! Calling all Sope Creek fifth graders who live in the Dickerson Middle School attendance zone! You are invited to attend a special night in your honor on April 30, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. You will learn about the academic programs offered there, as well as about connections and the music program. Tours of the school will also be available. Don't miss this opportunity to get to know Dickerson Middle School. Make sure you only bring your parents with you! Space is limited, and siblings are not invited. Our neighbors at East Cobb Middle School recently had this same opportunity. We know it will be informative and fun!

The Sope Creek Elementary School counselors wish to thank every family that participated in the Holiday Helper Bear program this year! Because of their incredible generosity, the holidays were happier for 25 of our families in need. We are indeed blessed to work in such a caring community.
Sope Creek parents are invited to join Sara Jane Lombardi for "Coffee With the Counelor" on Thursday, October 20th at 7:30 a.m. in the Teachers' Lounge. She will be discussing the Response to Intervention (RTI) system for supporting students.
