Language Arts
Our new story this week is about two little girls who become "Best Friends". The story shows ways that they are different and ways they are alike, but as they learn to appreciate each other's differences, they discover the true meaning of friendship.
Math
We are continuing to learn about data graphing. We have looked at graphs, made graphs, and learned to "interpret information" from our graphs. We will continue our Chapter 7 study of graphs and we should have our test on this unit before the end of this week.
Polar Express Story - Tuesday, December 4th
We will invite Ms. Whatley's Wildcats to visit our classroom on Tuesday morning, as both classes listen to Ms. Appleyard read one of our favorite holiday stories, The Polar Express. At the end of the story, Mrs. Clayton will give each student a silver bell to remind them about the special gift the little boy received in the story.
Magnets - Indoor Field Trip - December 5th
On Wednesday afternoon we will have our second indoor Field Trip. We watched a Magnet Video from Georgia Public Television on Friday and then we watched Mrs. Clayton demonstrate all the different types of Magnets we have in our classroom to use for investigations. We also discussed Magnet Safety and we know we can never put magnets around electronic equipment or computers. We were also able to complete two different magnet experiments in our classroom on Friday. The Indoor Field Trip will give us another opportunity to apply our knowledge about Magnets.
