Please join us from 5pm - 7pm during Chick-fil-A Spirit Night! It is a great time to see friends, to get dinner, and to support our school! A percentage of the proceeds directly benefit our school: providing enrichment/field trip opportunities for students and staff development to teachers.
Come to Chick-fil-A dressed in your favorite team's jersey or colors! Celebrate your own sports team, a high school team, college, or even a pro sports team!
Important News from the Clinic and Administration:
We are starting to see an increase in illness at Sope Creek. Please review and adhere to the following guidelines:
Students need to be free from vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school.
Students need to be fever free (without fever reducing medicine) for 24 hours before returning to school.
If your child has a serious cough, particularly if it’s accompanied by breathing difficulties call your MD and keep your child at home. Coughs can spread infection to other students.
Students with Bacterial Conjunctivitis (pink eye) may return to school 24 hours after antibiotics are begun. Students with Viral Conjunctivitis may return when eyes are “clear,” no apparent redness and no drainage present or with a written note from your MD. *The cause of the pink eye must be determined by a physician.
The single most effective way to prevent the spread of disease is by good hand washing!
Don't forget that if your child is absent, we need an excuse note. Simply send in a note stating your child's name, their teacher, and the reason for absence. Illness is a sufficient reason. If you would like to download a Sope Creek absence excuse template, you may do so by clicking here.
Thank you for helping us make sure Sope Creek students, staff, and families stay healthy!

Honoring Our Heroes is a writing contest developed in 1995 by the Eastern Cobb County Council of PTAs. The program was designed to encourage students to discover “real life” heroes who have shown generosity, trust, persistence, dedication, leadership, creativity, caring, bravery, imagination, service, gentleness, courage, or compassion. The creators of the program wanted students to redefine the heroes they saw portrayed in the media – cartoon characters, professional athletes, rock stars, etc. – and instead recognize the true heroes in their lives. Our real heroes are grandparents, parents, siblings, doctors, policemen, soldiers, teachers, and anyone else that has made a real and positive impact on a student’s life.
Entries will be judged on the student’s ability to articulate the qualities of the hero and to describe the manner in which the hero has impacted the student’s life.
Please be aware that the clinic is not permitted by the Cobb County School District to administer any medication to your child unless the parent/guardian completes the appropriate paperwork and brings the medication into the clinic. Please do not send any medication with your child via his/her backpack, or otherwise, to school. All medication must be brought into the clinic in its original container by a parent or guardian. You may download and print form JLCD-2 "Authorization to Give Medication" by clicking here. Thanks for your cooperation! ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
