Keep up the great participation on IXL. They're doing a great job. The students are doing well with the spelling lists and everyone had their homework in on time Friday morning. Go Alligators!
Math- In addition we're learning doubles and doubles plus one and then we'll be on to fact families. Please review coins at home with your child and have him/her count coins up to 35-50 cents. It is often developmental in nature. We are practicing counting by 2, 5 and by 10s. Please practice at home.
We'll be learning how to take the COGAT at a practice session on Wednesday morning. The test is next week(Wednesday-Friday) and you can help by having your child get a good night's rest, eat a breakfast with some protein, and have a stress-free morning during the 3 days of testing. That is how you can help your child do his personal best.
Social Studies- We're having a great time learning all about our first American hero, Ben Franklin. Please ask your children to tell you some of his inventions or some of his contributions that he made to our country.
