My favorite part of this job is the students and the funny things that they say and do. I love working with our youngest students because you never know what they may say or how what you say gets flipped/twisted in their minds. My last name is a funny one: Appleyard. Kindergarten and First Grade students can remember the "Apple" part, but they forget or change the "yard." I am going to collect the variations on my last name....they make me laugh...and my family finds them amusing, too!
