Library Staff

Jessica Schultz-Suggs is the Library Media Specialist. She received her Master of Library Science from Clark Atlanta University in 1999 and completed her Ed.S. in Educational Leadership at Lincoln Memorial University in 2005. She has been at Sope Creek for 6 years.

Beth Lauria is the Library Paraprofessional. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Communication from Shorter College. Though this is her first year at Sope Creek, she has worked as a Parapro at Sedalia Park for two years.

Library Policies

The Sope Creek Elementary Library Media Center is open every weekday from 7:15 Am to 3:00 PM.


Students are welcome to come visit the library at any time during the school day, with the permission of their classroom teacher.


The library maintains a flexible schedule and space which allows use by several different groups of students, parents, and faculty members at any given time during the day. The schedule for classes is available in the library office for teachers to view and sign up for book exchange, storytime and learning, as well as information literacy skill instruction. Scheduling of library space for other than individual class use is arranged through the Assistant Principal, Debbie Morris.
